Ercan Arslan, born in 1970, graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 1997. Since 1995, he has been working as a photojournalist at Turkish daily newspaper, Milliyet. He also gives photojournalism lectures at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and Yıldız Technical University.

In 2007, his exhibiton with five photographers including Ara Güler, “Other Istanbul” was held in Italy.
His exhibiton “Su ile Gelen Kültür / Culture Comes With Water” was held at 15. Adana Golden Boll Film Festival in 2008 and at Istanbul Cemal ReÅŸit Rey Concert Hall in 2009.
He was attended to an exhibition with Ara Güler and Ä°zzet Keribar, “Kadına Dair / About Woman” in 2012.
He prepared and presented a 21 episodes-television show, “Åžimdi FotoÄŸraf Zamanı / Now, Time for Photography” at World Travel Channel.

He won the photography award by Turkish Journalism Society in 2011.
